Dr. Laverna Moorer's New Book 'All Messed Up in the Potter's Hands' Deals With the Author's Religious Awakening While in Prison

Recent release "All Messed Up In The Potter's Hands" from Page Publishing author Dr. Laverna Moorer is the result of the author's teaching herself to speak English by reading her Bible every day with the prison chaplain.

Dr. Laverna Moorer, a Christian with a Ph.D. in Divinity Studies, has completed her new book “All Messed Up In The Potter's Hands”:  an inspirational tale about how the author was born in Panama and graduated as a dressmaker. Whereupon, she met her ex-husband and migrated to New York and unfortunately became incarcerated and was sentenced to Bedford Prison, where she spent seven years in the prison system.

According to Moorer, “God wants us to know that nothing in life happens by chance or mistake. The Father has so much love for us that no mistake we make can change his plan he designed for us before the foundation of the world. It doesn’t matter what detour our life may take. He would take and use that detour to perfect that plan and purpose he has for us. His GPS would perfectly direct us back to where we originally needed to be. It is all about the love the Father has for his children that would make him prepare provisions for our mistakes and falls. We must consider our self-privilege for such great love.”

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Dr. Laverna Moorer's emotional work examines how she dedicated herself to helping others who had been afflicted with the AIDS virus. She became a mentor and educator for ladies and was a teacher in this field of AIDS/HIV as well.

When it was time to leave the prison, she began experiencing the gaps and outrages felt by so many women reentering society. She had experienced that feeling of being lost and alone, a feeling of having no idea where to start from. Moorer had gained strength through her Bible studies; she was now armed with a higher power she didn’t have before.

As a single parent that had been out of touch with her children for a period of time, acclimatization was necessary. She had to help wipe away the anger and the pain of abandoned feelings that were stored inside her children’s hearts. Needless to say, much prayer helped Moorer weather the storm. In spite of her not knowing the outcome, she trusted the Lord. She got a good job with the city of New York, and she enrolled in college. Finally, the Lord spoke to her about WOE Inc. She registered and became the founder and CEO of WOE Inc. and is one semester away from getting her doctorate degree in divinity.

Readers who wish to experience this inspirational work can purchase “All Messed Up In the Potter's Hands” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes & Noble.
